3M™ 2525 Flatback Tape is a 9.5 mil orange flatback paper tape with a rubber-based adhesive engineered for holding, splicing, bundling, and masking where strong adhesion and high backing strength are required. The flatback construction tears cleanly by hand without curling, enabling fast, consistent application in high-volume environments.
The tape's 300°F-for-one-hour temperature rating makes it a reliable choice for paint booths, powder coating lines, and heat-cure manufacturing processes. The orange backing delivers high on-line visibility, and the moisture-resistant construction holds up in humid production settings. The tape is not recommended for outdoor use or prolonged direct sunlight exposure, as adhesive removal may become difficult over time.
