3M™ 2525 Flatback Tape is a 9.5 mil orange flatback paper tape with a rubber-based adhesive engineered for short-term heat resistance up to 300°F for one hour. The high-strength paper backing resists tearing during application and removal, making it a reliable choice where both thermal exposure and backing integrity matter.
This tape is well-matched to powder coating masking, paint masking, bundling, and splicing in manufacturing, fabrication, and finishing environments. The orange color provides high visibility on the line, aiding precise placement and confirming complete removal after processing. The moisture-resistant backing holds up in production settings, though the tape is not recommended for outdoor use or prolonged UV exposure.
Each roll measures 3/4" wide by 60 yards long at 9.5 mil total thickness. Cases contain 48 rolls and ship via parcel carrier. The 3/4" width suits narrow masking lines, seaming, and detail work where a full-width tape would be excessive.
