3M™ 256 White Flatback Tape is a 6.7 mil paper-backed tape with a rubber adhesive, engineered to lie flat without curl or layering — a key advantage in high-throughput masking, bundling, and splicing operations where tape conformity directly affects workflow speed and consistency.
The white surface accepts standard flexographic printing and takes well to ballpoint pens, felt-tip markers, and rubber stamps, making it practical for inline labeling, color-coded routing, and identification tasks in manufacturing, fulfillment, and distribution environments. It bonds reliably to paper, film, fabric, and yarn substrates.
The tape withstands temperatures up to 200°F for up to one hour, supporting light-duty heat exposure during processing. It is rated for indoor use only and is not intended for outdoor or prolonged UV exposure. Removal leaves minimal residue under typical indoor conditions. Each case contains 12 rolls.
