3M™ 256 Flatback Tape is a 6.7 mil white paper-backed tape with a rubber adhesive, offered in 2-inch width by 60-yard rolls. The flatback construction tears cleanly by hand with no dispenser required, and the white surface accepts standard flexographic inks as well as markings from ballpoint pens, felt-tip pens, and rubber stamps.
This tape is well-suited for masking, bundling, splicing, color-coding, and surface holding tasks in manufacturing, distribution, and fulfillment operations. The rubber adhesive bonds to paper, film, fabric, and yarn substrates, and the tape removes cleanly under normal conditions. It is not rated for outdoor exposure.
The tape withstands temperatures up to 200°F for one hour, making it compatible with short-duration heat exposure in production and finishing environments. Each case contains 24 rolls and ships via parcel carrier.
